I am taking expressions of interest for Cairns & Port Douglas July 2027
We will be heading to Cairns for a couple of nights on 10th & 11th July and then on to Port Douglas from 12th July 2027 to 19th July 2027. Below is a rough plan of our itinerary for this trip. I will be renting a van for our day excursions
Day 1: Explore Cairns - 10th July 2027

Arrive on your direct flight from Auckland.

Check into your accommodation.
Day 2: Kuranda Rainforest - 11th July

Ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway over the rainforest.
Spend several hours in Kuranda:

Butterfly Sanctuary

Birdworld
-
Koala Gardens

Cafés
Return on the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway through spectacular rainforest and waterfalls.
Day 3: Drive to Port Douglas - 12th July to 19th July 2027
The drive along the Captain Cook Highway is one of Australia's most scenic coastal roads (about 1 hour).

Settle in to your accommodation
Day 4: 13th July – Great Barrier Reef
Take a full-day cruise to the outer reef for:

Snorkelling

Optional scuba diving
Day 5: 14th July – Mossman Gorge & Daintree
Visit:

Mossman Gorge
Continue into the Daintree Rainforest.
Day 6: 15th July – Cape Tribulation
Drive north through the rainforest.

Dubuji Boardwalk

Kulki Lookout

Beaches where rainforest meets reef

Ice cream at the famous local tropical fruit farm
Day 7: 16th July - spend a day at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures, about halfway between Cairns and Port Douglas.
Day 8: 17th July - Free day
Day 9: 18th July - Sunday Markets
Final Day: Drive back to Cairns Airport allowing about 90 minutes from Port Douglas to the airport, plus time for returning the vans.
